For many years, wireless communication technology has faced a trade-off between achieving long transmission ranges and supporting high data rates. Semtech’s LR2021, the first radio in the LoRa Plus™ line, incorporates 4th Generation LoRa® IP with an innovative Fast Long-Range Communication (FLRC) modulation, enabling data rates of up to 2.6 Mbps on both sub-GHz and 2.4 GHz frequency bands. This advanced modulation supports diverse applications, including reliable image transfer over extensive distances with strong penetration through materials, all while maintaining the low power requirements necessary for battery-powered devices. 

As Semtech entered the new millennium it built upon the successful transformation achieved during the 1990s. The 2000s represented a period of technology refinement, market expansion and strategic positioning that further cemented Semtech's status as a leading analog and mixed-signal semiconductor provider.

IOTE Shenzhen 2025 was a major success, drawing 70,000 participants to this year's show. Semtech's presence became a focal point for next-generation LoRa® technology, featuring live demonstrations, executive presentations and strategic partnership announcements. The three-day event reinforced the leading position of LoRa technology in intelligent Internet of Things(IoT) connectivity throughout China and internationally.
