SX1236
The SX1236 is a fully integrated ISM band transceiver capable of bi-band operation in most licensed bands in the sub-GHz space with a minimum of external components. It offers a combination of high link budget and low current consumption in all operating modes. The 143 dB link budget is achieved by a low noise CMOS receiver front end and up to +20 dBm of transmit output power. A set of internal power amplifiers are provided permitting either fully regulated for constant RF performance, or direct supply connection for optimal efficiency.

The recently announced LoRa Basics™ Modem v4 feature release includes a powerful new feature – relay. It allows customers to add battery-operated, easy-to-deploy relay nodes that act as network extenders. These relay nodes can be placed in remote locations or in areas where signal strength is weak due to extreme distances or circumstances, effectively extending the range of existing gateway(s) and networks using LoRaWAN® connectivity.

READ NOWIntensive pig farming, also known as the ‘intensive piggery system’, has become the primary method of farming in the pig industry. According to this method, pigs are housed indoors and confined in individual stalls or straw-lined sheds at high stocking density, while keeping pigs of similar ages to live together in large crowds under common environmental settings. By doing so, feeding efficiency is significantly improved, and emerging technologies are often employed to maintain pig health and safeguard pig growth - monitoring various environmental parameters inside the barns with wireless temperature and humidity sensors is an exemplary case in point.

READ NOWThe Need for Continuous Asset Tracking
Of the many complexities along the global supply chain and daily logistics operations, asset tracking is arguably the most challenging. Disruptions and subsequent capital loss not only affect goods transported worldwide, but also containers and vehicles used for shipment. On a more local scale, retail stores and shop owners are challenged in keeping track of their assets and supply at all times throughout the day for reasons varying from theft prevention to inventory management.
