Francois Tremblay

Chief Technical Officer and Vice President, Design Engineering, Signal Integrity Products Group

Mr. Tremblay is Semtech’s chief technical officer and vice president, design engineering for the Signal Integrity Products Group, where he joined the company as a result of Semtech’s acquisition of Gennum in 2012. Mr. Tremblay possesses more than 30 years of experience in designing semiconductor products and systems for advanced communication and power management. Before Gennum, Mr. Tremblay was vice president, R&D at LTRIM Technologies, focusing on development of power management IP products and M&A activities. During 1999-2005, Mr. Tremblay played a lead role at Catena Networks in the architecture and development of silicon for integrated voice and data interface using discrete multitone modulation. Furthermore, amid the “pre bubble era,” Mr. Tremblay held different technical leadership positions at Cadence Design Services and Nortel Networks.

Mr. Tremblay holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa. He holds several patents in the field of advanced communication and associated power management.
