Semtech Enables the Next Generation of 100G Optical/Electrical Modules and Backplane Applications at ECOC 2014
The company’s ECOC 2014 products showcased at the OIF’s 2014 Multivendor Interoperability forum highlight Semtech’s leadership in providing industry leading re-timer products to support both the next generation of small form factor 100G optical modules as well as applications targeted at 100G backplanes and active copper modules
Camarillo, California - September 22, 2014
Semtech Corp. (Nasdaq: SMTC), a leading supplier of analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, today announced its participation in several OIF Multivendor Interoperability demonstrations to be held at ECOC 2014.
Semtech’s GN2104 CDR’s are featured in optical and active-copper module applications for 100G CFP4 LR4 and 100G CFP4. The GN2504 25-28Gb/s backplane re-timers are demonstrated in high-loss backplanes operating with high-crosstalk. In addition, the Semtech GN2104 Quad 25-28Gbps CDR is showcased in a dedicated QSFP28 chip-to-module channel demonstration that highlights compliance to the OIF CEI-28G-VSR and IEEE CAUI-4 specifications.
The breadth of demonstrated applications exhibits Semtech’s ability in providing a broad range of high-speed re-timer and clock & data recovery (CDR) solutions optimized for low power and maximum flexibility with the ability to address several module and system applications.
OIF member companies will showcase multi-vendor participation in OIF Interoperability. A public demonstration of the event will be on display September 22-24, 2014 at ECOC in Cannes. OIF Booth #525. Additional information can be found at http://www.oiforum.com/public/OIF_Interoperability_2014.html
The GN2104 and GN2504 are both sampling now. Semtech offers comprehensive design assistance, including field- and factory-based support. Data sheets as well as evaluation kits and samples, are available at www.semtech.com/info.
