Semtech Achieves JANS Certification
Semtech Power Discretes and Assembly Space-level Quality Certification Allows Company to Meet Demand for Space and Commercial Satellite Markets

Semtech Corp. (Nasdaq: SMTC), a leading supplier of analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, today announced that the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) has granted JANS certification for its Power Discretes and Assembly (PDA) Group facility located in Reynosa, Mexico.
The wafer facility is certified for compliance with MIL-PRF-19500N. Compliance means that Semtech Corpus Christi S.A. de C.V. is considered a certified manufacturer eligible to qualify and supply JANS silicon power rectifiers, and transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diodes in axial leaded, glass bodied and surface mount packages in accordance with the requirements of MIL-PRF-19500N.“This certification gives Semtech the opportunity to begin supporting demand for rectifiers and TVS in space and commercial satellite markets. This is a first milestone toward complete certification, and demonstrates our commitment in supporting all high-reliability and space-industry customers," said Jose Vargas, Vice President, Power Discretes Business for Semtech. The Reynosa facility has been producing high-voltage military and commercial power discrete products since 1990 and is also ISO 9001:2000 certified and MIL-PRF-19500 qualified.
