Mohan Maheswaran, President And Chief Executive Officer
Mohan Maheswaran joined Semtech as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in April 2006. Prior to joining Semtech, Mohan held the position of Executive Vice President, General Manager at Intersil Corporation. He joined Intersil Corporation by way of its acquisition of Elantec Semiconductor Inc. in 2002. In addition to having worked for Intersil and Elantec, he has been employed by Allayer Communications, IBM Microelectronics, Texas Instruments, Hewlett-Packard and Nortel Communications.
Mohan holds a BSEE from Surrey University and a MBA from Henley Executive Management College, both of which are located in the United Kingdom.
Emeka Chukwu, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Emeka Chukwu joined the company as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in November 2006. Emeka has been employed in various financial positions at Intersil, Inc, a manufacturer of analog semiconductors, since 2002. His most recent position was Vice President, Finance, in which capacity he served since February 2006. From July 1999 through April 2002, he was the Corporate Controller of Elantec Semiconductor, Inc, a manufacturer of analog integrated circuits that was acquired by Intersil in 2002. He has also held accounting positions at other high technology companies during the past eighteen years.
Ken Barry, Vice President, Human Resources
Ken Barry joined the company in December 2006 as Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to Semtech, he was the Senior Vice President of HR at Move.com. Ken has more than 30 years of experience working in a broad range of industries, including positions with SuperConductor Technologies, Nortel, Harman International and Exel Logistics.
Ken has a Masters degree in Organization Development from Pepperdine University.
Clay Beltran, Vice President of Worldwide Operations
Clay Beltran joined the Company in July 2006 as Vice President of Worldwide Operations. Prior to Semtech, Clay was employed by Intersil Corporation where he held several positions, most recently as Director of Backend Operations and Director of Worldwide Operation Planning. He joined Intersil Corporation by way of its acquisition of Elantec Semiconductor Inc. in 2002, where he was the Director of Operations. He has also been employed by Integrated Device Technology. Prior to working in semiconductors, Clay served as an Army Officer with the US Army.
Clay holds a BS in Mathematics from UCLA and a MBA from Pepperdine University.
Kevin P. Caffey, Vice President, Quality and Reliability
Kevin Caffey joined the Company in June 2004 as Vice President of Quality and Reliability. Kevin was employed by LSI Logic Corporation from 1998 to 2004, last serving as Director of Worldwide Reliability. He has also been employed by Symbios Logic, Hyundai Electronics America, AT&T and NCR Corporation.
Alain Dantec, Senior Vice President, Advanced Communications and Sensing Products
Alain Dantec heads the Company's Advanced Communications and Sensing Products Division, a result of the 2005 acquisition of XEMICS S.A. in Neuchậtel, Switzerland, a developer of ultra-low power analog, radio frequency (RF) and digital integrated circuits (IC), where he was Chief Executive Officer from 2001 to June 2005. Prior to joining Xemics, Alain was CEO of Atmel Nantes a subsidiary of Atmel in France from 1996 to 2001. He has more than 30 years experience in the semiconductor industry in a broad range of technical and management positions within such leading companies as ATMEL, the Temic Group, Harris, and Alcatel.
James Kim, Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing
James Kim, was appointed as the Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing on January 26, 2007. James has been employed by the Company since 1986. He served as Vice President of Global Handset Sales since March 2004 and was previously Director of Sales and Marketing for Korea and Japan.
Lawrence A. King, Vice President of Engineering, Portable Products
Lawrence King was appointed Vice President of Engineering, Portable Products in February 2004. Lawrence joined the Company as the North Carolina Design Center Manager in 1998 and was named Vice President of Portable Products in April 2001. He was employed by Harris Semiconductor for 10 years, most recently as an Engineering Manager. He has also been employed by Texas Instruments.
R. Nejo Necar, Vice President, Business Development
Nejo Necar was appointed Vice President of Business Development in November 1999. Nejo joined us in 1997 as Director of Business Development. He previously held engineering and marketing management positions with Exar and Interdesign.
Nejo holds a BSEE from Middle East Technical University (Turkey), and a MSEE from Wichita State University.
Jeffrey Pohlman, Senior Vice President, Protection Products
Jeff Pohlman was named Vice President of Protection Products in 1998. Jeff has worked for the Company in various engineering roles since 1988. He was previously employed by Supertex Inc., Fairchild Camera and Instrument, Inc., and National Semiconductor in various technical and managerial roles.
Mike Wilson, Senior Vice President, Power Management Products
Michael Wilson has headed Semtech operations in San Jose, California since 1995 and is the Vice President of Power Management products. Mike joined Semtech as the result of the 1995 acquisition of ECI Semiconductor where he was Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He has more than 20 years experience in the semiconductor industry in a broad range of technical and management positions.
Suzanna Fabos, General Counsel and Secretary
Suzanna Fabos joined Semtech as Corporate Counsel in April 2000 and was elected Assistant Secretary in June 2000, Secretary in November 2003 and named General Counsel in November 2006. She had been employed in the legal department of Lockheed Martin Corporation for twelve years, where her last post was as Assistant General Counsel — Finance. She has also been employed by Owens-Illinois, Inc. and Coopers & Lybrand. She also serves as an officer of some of our wholly-owned subsidiaries.
