RailClamps are surge rated diode arrays designed to protect high speed data interfaces. The SR12 has been specifically designed to protect sensitive components which are connected to data and transmission lines from overvoltages caused by ESD (electrostatic discharge), EFT (electrical fast transients), and lightning.

  • ESD protection for high-speed data lines to
    • IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD) ± 15 kV (air), ± 8 kV (contact)
    • IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT) 40 A (5/50 ns)
    • IEC 61000-4-5 (lightning) 0.5 kV, 12 A (8/20 µs)
  • Array of surge rated diodes with internal TVS diode
  • Low capacitance (5 pF typical) for high-speed interfaces
  • Low clamping voltage
  • Solid-state silicon-avalanche technology
