10/11.3 Gb/s Limiting Amplifier

Gennum's GN1250L is a fully integrated limiting amplifier, providing wideband, low noise post-amplification, aimed primarily at 10GE and 8.5G Fibre Channel systems.

The device may also be used in any Telecom application with input data rates up to 11.3 Gb/s.

The device is designed with differential I/Os and has signal levels compatible with Gennum's GN1052 transimpedance amplifiers.

DC offset compensation is provided on chip with no external components required. Optimum performance is provided by differential connections, but with appropriate terminations the device can also be used in single-ended mode if required by the application.
