The network enables countless new applications to live better & work smarter

Camarillo, California - July 10, 2015

On Friday, Proximus announced it has started to deploy a wireless network in Belgium based on LoRa™, Semtech's innovative technology that connects devices with the Internet. The devices, which are equipped with sensors, can be operated, controlled or read out remotely. The LoRa™ network rounds out Proximus' Machine-to-Machine offering over its fixed and mobile network. The new network will be available in major cities in Belgium before the end of this year. In 2016, Proximus will roll out the network throughout Belgium and in Luxembourg.

Bouygues Telecom and Senet have also deployed wireless networks based on LoRa technology. Proximus, Bouygues Telecom and Senet are all members of the LoRa Alliance.
