Forbes Magazine Names Semtech to List of Top 100 Most Trustworthy CompaniesMagazine ranks Semtech as one of only two semiconductor firms that consistently demonstrate transparent and conservative accounting practices and solid corporate governance Camarillo, California - April 13, 2010 Semtech Corp. (Nasdaq: SMTC), a leading supplier of analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, today announced that Forbes Magazine has named the company to its Top 100 Most Trustworthy Companies list, which was published in its April 5 issue. With this list, Forbes sought to “identify the most transparent and trustworthy businesses that trade on American stock exchanges.” The magazine worked with Audit Integrity, a Los Angeles-based financial analytics company, to find the 100 companies that have consistently demonstrated transparent and conservative accounting practices and solid corporate governance and management. Semtech was listed among the mid-cap companies with an Accounting and Governance Risk (AGR) score of 87. It was the highest AGR of the two semiconductor companies on the top 100. The AGR is based on a proprietary model developed by Audit Integrity that identifies practices that historically have had a high correlation with increasing shareholder risk. “We have worked hard to build trust with shareholders through good governance and financial transparency, and being named to this list by Forbes is a great honor and recognition of how important this is to the Semtech management team,” said Emeka Chukwu, Semtech Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. “Good governance and innovation in analog and mixed signal semiconductor technology have been hallmarks of the company throughout its 50 years in business.” The article and more information on the methodology used to select the top 100 trustworthy companies can be found at http://www.forbes.com/2010/04/05/most-trustworthy-companies-leadership-governance-100.html.
